the Andr\u00e9 Bouriez Donation
or the continuation of a tradition

On the initiative of Mr. Michel Bouriez, the Andr\u00e9 Bouriez Donation (named after his father) based in Nancy, has enabled, from 1988 to 2020, more than 45 French, European and international doctors and surgeons to benefit from scholarships allowing them to undertake training stays<\/strong> in university hospitals, ranging from six months to one year, in Europe, the United States and Asia.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From the start, Michel Bouriez wanted to focus his action on microsurgery of the hand, which has enabled long-term work of more than 30 years.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

During these trainings, the grantees of the Andr\u00e9 Bouriez Donation and the Andr\u00e9 Bouriez European Grant benefited from a high-level surgical education<\/strong>, enabling them to improve or develop their surgical techniques and strengthen their specialization.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

All of them, on their return, passed on the knowledge thus acquired and affirmed their talents as doctors and surgeons. <\/strong>. \u201cWe owe the idea of \u200b\u200bthe Andr\u00e9 Bouriez Donation to Professor Michel Merle who had great esteem for my father. Andr\u00e9 Bouriez, an exceptional personality with rare tenacity, founded and developed an important distribution group which quickly went beyond the limits of Lorraine. He was proud to have contributed to create more than 15,000 jobs. A good man, he was, in particular, very attentive to young people.
\nIn memory of his action and believing that the development of a medical elite is a guarantee of progress for all, with my wife Yseult and our three children Christian, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne and Ghislain, we have adhered to the approach of Professor Michel Merle. \u00bb<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

\"The Andr\u00e9 Bouriez Donation has enabled our assistant clinical directors to undertake extended stays in the U.S.A. and Asia. All have benefited from a high-level surgical education. They thus learned to evaluate a technique, to develop research, to understand the socio-cultural and medico-legal weight of a country in its choices of health policy. All of them, on their return to the C.H.U. of Nancy, both passed on their knowledge and asserted their talent as doctors and surgeons.
\nThe initiative of Michel and Yseult Bouriez and their three children is a magnificent gift offered to the new generation of microsurgeons and doctors who participate in the development of this discipline.
